The bride admitted to a few wedding day jitters,as the groom entered to the menacing theme from Jaws..the nervous congregation jostled for a better view..but just when you though it was safe to get married,.groan..nine sharks, loomed into view! Wayne Landry and his Fiancee Gale married in wet suits and scuba gear while sharks circled them in a 125,000 gallon tank in Florida Aquarium..there was a nervous moment as a curious sand tiger shark became interested in the bouquet, but swam away when the bride tossed them to her new husband...the couple were undeterred by recent shark attacks Gale was more worried about whether the cake would arrive in 1 piece..About 50 guests watched the 15 minute underwater ceremony-from outside the tank..

Woa, they must be brave. I could imagine a better way to marry. But it is cool though ... those who like it, those who need that adrenalin kick ... why not.

That is awesome. I''d love to do that, but I'd be scared of the sharks.

well takes all sorts. I imagine they've probably got a few kids by now as I remember hearing about this on the news about 7 years ago.

You're not sure somebody did that before? Are you sure it is exactly the same?

Post 12 by sugarbaby (The voice of reason) on Wednesday, 06-Jul-2005 11:04:03

who knows, but if it was a different person then these ones weren't exactly original were they.

Still, that's crazy if a person knows they're putting theirselves in that sort of risk that something could happen with the sharks. But I agree with Inesole that maybe some people like that sort of thing. Personally, I would never do something like that either. As it is, I freak out when I try to swim across a pool, even though I can easily stand up and touch the ground. So just the feeling of being suspended in the middle of a pool is scary for me. But to also have sharks swimming around me, I would likely freak out even more and am almost positive I would never do something like that.

well depends on what kind of sharks they were. of the hundreds of sharks that exist, only about 8 species are actually known to have ever been a threat to humans ..
